Your whole thumbnail toolkit.

Build the world, direct the characters, and finish the image. Here's what you can work with.

Build

A Minecraft plains village house being built one block at a time.

Worlds

A wide Minecraft cherry grove fills the tile floor and fades into the background in the distance. Its layers import and deconstruct while the camera orbits, with no sky.

Skins

Minecraft player skins changing with Thumbcraft's pixel split-skin effect during a slow rotation.

Pose

The saved custom player skin walking, looking around, and crouching.

Mobs

Minecraft mobs, including babies and appearance variants, walk along the floor or fly and float above it, spaced by their full animated silhouettes.

Gear

Alex holds three Minecraft items, then the camera zooms out as three random armor sets equip from boots to helmet.

Particles

Isolated Minecraft particles changing between sphere, ring, and box arrangements.

Sunbursts

A circular white sunburst, with its title changing between black and white over the rays.
Custom Text types and retypes, cycling through the Minecraft text colors.

Sky

The Minecraft sun crosses Sky from left to right as clouds travel forward, accelerate at sunset, and continue through night into dawn.

Effects

A standing player with painted highlights and shadows.

Cameras

The saved custom player stands with arms down, centered in a viewfinder, and spins through a full turn during each smooth zoom transition.

Assets

Minecraft image assets: ten red hearts, hunger icons, a hotbar, and an experience bar at level five.

Help shape
what comes next.

I'm building Thumbcraft to make creating Minecraft thumbnails simpler, with a dedicated editor that brings the whole process into one place. The beta is a chance to try it, tell me what gets in your way, and help me make it better.

FAQ

Is the beta free?

Yes, the private beta is free to use. Future pricing hasn't been announced.

Do I need to install anything?

The editor runs in your browser. You don't need to install Thumbcraft or Minecraft to create a scene. Start with a current desktop browser and a mouse or trackpad. Rendering performance depends on your device, and the editor is currently designed for desktop use.

What's planned next?

The current focus is refining rendering and the editing workflow with beta feedback. Cloud project saves are being explored. Future features don't have release dates yet.

Privacy in the beta

Your waitlist email

Your email is stored with Thumbcraft's hosting provider, Cloudflare, so I can manage beta invitations. Joining the waitlist doesn't create an account.

If you're invited

Account sign-in and invitation emails use Stytch. Your projects autosave locally in your browser; project files and renders aren't uploaded for cloud storage. Optional username skin lookup contacts Minecraft profile and skin services.

Feedback

Feedback you send in the editor is stored for you and me to review. Bug reports include basic app and browser details. Recent activity logs are optional and can be previewed before you include them.
